Join Zhou lab and have fun exploring the fascinating soft matter world! We are looking for curious and diligent young researchers who are passionate about science. We welcome people from various disciplines: physics, biology, chemistry, engineering… because great things often happen at the boundaries. If science excites you, come talk to us!
Graduate students: the phenomena in liquid crystals are among the most visually appealing in soft matter. The theories of liquid crystals are profound and widely-connected to even remote field such as cosmology. The application of liquid crystal materials are both prevailing (e.g. LCD) and promising… If any of these attracts you, this can be the field you want to dive in. Write to Shuang to setup a discussion on your research opportunities.
Undergraduates and post-graduates trainees: projects in Zhou Lab are very diverse, ranging from device making, software development, microscopy, optics, to chemistry and biology. If you are interested in gaining research experience for grad school or job market, there will be something fits your interests. Write to Shuang to discuss your possible projects here.
